Trades?

With the Buffalo Sabres looking to add a top-six forward, they have, understandably, been viewed as a possible landing spot for Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas. The 25-year-old is expected to be moved this offseason.  While the Sabres certainly have plenty of valuable assets to work with, it appears that they may not be the best trading partner for the Hurricanes in a potential Necas move.  If the Sabres end up missing out on Necas, they could have several other scoring winger options in free agency. A few players who could hit the market this summer include Tyler Toffoli, Jonathan Marchessault, Teuvo Teravainen, Patrick Kane, Tyler Bertuzzi, Jake DeBrusk, and Daniel Sprong. Sabres Season in Review

In review of this season as a Sabres fan, it's been yet another rough one to watch. The Sabres are now on a 13 year streak of missing the playoffs. But there are some more new things to take note of, including the new head coach Lindy Ruff. Although, our former head coach Don Granato was a much appreciated coach and person, he didn't push the team to the point to where they would go on winning streaks and beat good teams. Don didn't hold many players accountable from these losses. Therefore, he was let go. Now, here come Lindy Ruff. Lindy is a very experienced coached and knows how to win. Lindy will hopefully take the Sabres to the next level and give the Sabres the playoff appearance that they are desperate.

Sabres vs Kraken on the West Coast trip

Buffalo opened a back-to-back set with a win in Seattle. Jeff Skinner recorded a hat trick while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 32 saves to lead the Buffalo Sabres in a 6-2 win over the Seattle Kraken inside Climate Pledge Arena on Monday to open a back-to-back set.      This is a great start for the Sabres road trip in the West. If they come out and win at least 2 of their next 3 games, they'll be looking real good for a playoff shot. Personally, I am excited to see what the Sabres can do moving forward.      Picture credit Buffalo News

Islanders face surging Sabres to close out road trip

Thursday's game marks the final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Islanders defeated the Sabres in their season opener on Oct. 14, but Buffalo bested them one week later in the Queen City. Due to a 6-3-1 stretch and winners of their last two games, the Sabres find themselves five points back of the Islanders for the final wild-card spot. "It's a good team. They're playing really good hockey," Islanders Mathew Barzal said.       These last 15 games for the Sabres are all must win games. If the Sabres want to even have chance at the playoffs, they need work their butts off in these up coming games. They have some easy and difficult games coming. Don Granato needs get the boys going so they can show the city of Buffalo what they're all about.

Big Sabres Trade!

The Buffalo Sabres recently made a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. Trading away Center Casey Mittelstadt for Defenseman Bowen Byram. Casey has been in Buffalo for several years and was just beginning his prime. Many Sabres have had trouble seeing Casey go, mostly because he was leading the team in points with 47 total points in 62 games. While last year, he had a total of 59 points.        Although, it's tough to see Mittelstadt go, Bowen Byram is looking like a pretty good trade so far. His first game was against the Predators in Nashville last night where he recorded 2 points in his debut. The first goal for the Sabres was no one other then Bo himself. It was his first shot and his first goal. Later on in the game, Byram fed a pass to Owen Power right in front of the Predators goal, leading to Power sniping the puck past their goaltender, Saros. This was the Sabres last goal of the g...

Sabres extend win streak to 3 games with SO win

The victory yesterday over the Hurricanes gave the Sabres their first three-game winning streak of the season, coming on the heels of one-goal wins in Montreal and Columbus. The meeting with the Hurricanes was tight by any measure, with the Sabres having finished with slight edges in shot attempts (81-75) and scoring chances (35-31, according to Natural Stat Trick) as well as on the scoreboard.                 The Sabres look to extend there win streak heading into a tough matchup in Florida against the Panthers. The Panthers are first in the league and are very dominant throughout their recent opponents. It'll be in...

The team's challenges have been multifaceted and have impacted various aspects of their performance and organization.
