The Buffalo Sabres recently made a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. Trading away Center Casey Mittelstadt for Defenseman Bowen Byram. Casey has been in Buffalo for several years and was just beginning his prime. Many Sabres have had trouble seeing Casey go, mostly because he was leading the team in points with 47 total points in 62 games. While last year, he had a total of 59 points.
Although, it's tough to see Mittelstadt go, Bowen Byram is looking like a pretty good trade so far. His first game was against the Predators in Nashville last night where he recorded 2 points in his debut. The first goal for the Sabres was no one other then Bo himself. It was his first shot and his first goal. Later on in the game, Byram fed a pass to Owen Power right in front of the Predators goal, leading to Power sniping the puck past their goaltender, Saros. This was the Sabres last goal of the game. Overall, it seems like it will be something to look forward to seeing Dahlin and Byram playing side by side.
